The Silberkartell is an alliance of seven Landsmannschaften within the Coburger Convent, distinguished by a particularly friendly and warm relationship among its members.

The great alliances already existed about ten years before the foundation of the Deutsche Landsmannschaft (1868) and were thus one of the intellectual foundations of today's umbrella association, the Coburger Convent. Over the course of its history the alliance grew from two at first to the seven member fraternities that still exist today.
